Jean Paul Gaultier launches rental and re-sale services
Fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier has launched both a rental and re-sale service.
The company is making some 30,000 garments available for rent, the process for which will be managed in-house. Prices will range from €150 for small items such as a scarf to €700 for an evening dress.
Clothing offered by the service will include designs from the 80s and 90s and some of Gaultier’s most iconic pieces.
The move is part of the fashion house’s plans to attract a wider audience.
The company has also introduced a vintage section on its website that features over 50 items sourced from private clients and resellers.
Antoine Gagey, general manager at Jean Paul Gaultier, told WWD: “We want to explore new ways of buying and experiencing fashion by mixing in the same platform.”
