James Lakeland opens first Midlands store

James Lakeland has launched its first store in the Midlands at Birmingham’s Mailbox.

The luxury womenswear retailer has taken space on the second level of the shopping centre whose line-up also includes Paul Smith, Boss, Burrows & Hares and English Brands. There is also a Harvey Nichols department store on the site.

A spokesperson for James Lakeland said: “Our new store in the Mailbox will allow us to offer our collection of luxury womenswear including Italian made tailored coats, feminine dresses and occasion wear made with bespoke fabrics and stand-out prints. This new venture marks our first standalone store in the Midlands.”

Other recent openings at the Mailbox include Sofas & Stuff and Pall Mall Barbers.

Melanie Taylor, head of retailer relations at Milligan, said: “James Lakeland’s chic yet contemporary clothing will be an excellent addition to the range of fashion retailers at the Mailbox.”
