Jack Wolfskin announces new chief financial officer and leaders for retail and China
Jack Wolfskin has appointed a new chief financial officer and leaders for its retail and China businesses as it looks ahead to its next phase of growth.
The outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear brand has hired Jens Döring (pictured) as chief financial officer who will take up his new role on 1 January.
He previously worked with Adidas where his most recent position was vice president of finance Central Europe. With 25 years of financial experience, he has also previously worked with C&A, RockShox and Beiersdorf.
Matthew Jung, Jack Wolfskin president, said: “Jens combines deep commercial understanding with long-term financial business partnering experience through the entire value chain.
“As we reignite the brand in the DACH region, I am confident Jens’ expertise in this particular region will be a catalyst for healthy, sustainable growth.”
Meanwhile, Claire Midwood has extended her responsibilities beyond marketing, product and design functions to also include retail. In her position as senior vice president of product and marketing, she will oversee all aspects of the Jack Wolfskin European retail business, including oversight of more than 100 owned stores. Midwood began her career on the retail shopfloor in the UK and her experience has included retail leadership roles at Adidas and Apple.
Reporting to Midwood will be Elliot McFarlane as Jack Wolfskin’s new head of retail operations and in-store experience. He has had a a 28 year career in retail at companies such as Adidas, XXL, Alshaya Group and Tesco.
Jack Wolfskin has also promoted Kurt Zhang to the role of general manager in China where he will lead the scaling of the brand and development of the organisation. He previously served as the region’s vice president of omnichannel.
