Jack Wills opens first German store
Lifestyle fashion brand Jack Wills is launching its first store in Germany as part of a strategy to increase sales in overseas currencies.
Situated in Sylt in the north of the country, the new store will be the brand’s first in mainland Europe and follows its strong online German sales which last year jumped by 75%.
The store is expected to be the first in a series of new international locations for Jack Wills which will enter several markets in the coming year. The brand’s other international stores are in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau and Kuwait.
Jack Wills chief executive Peter Williams said: “Our increasingly international store portfolio provides a natural hedge as we look to reap the benefits of a diversified currency base in the face of a prolonged weakening in sterling.”
