J. Crew appoints new president of Madewell
J.Crew Group has appointed Adrienne Lazarus as president of its Madewell fashion brand.
Due to join the business in September, she will oversee all brand functions of the Madewell business whilst reporting to Libby Wadle, chief executive officer of J.Crew Group.
Lazarus has worked extensively with high-growth brands in the luxury and contemporary space.
She recently served as co-chief executive of CUUP, a direct-to-consumer intimates brand, and has also worked as a senior advisor at McKinsey & Company.
Prior to that, she held chief executive roles at Bandier and Frye, and also served as president of Intermix. Earlier in her career, she was president of Ann Taylor where she was credited with achieving a large-scale turnaround.
Wadle said: “Adrienne’s exceptional leadership skills, creativity, and passion for building relevant, customer-centric and purpose-driven brands will be a great asset to our team as Madewell continues to scale.
“Her strategic approach, entrepreneurial spirit, and proven track record makes her the ideal leader to join Madewell as we position the brand for the future.”
