In The Style posts strong Christmas sales growth

In The Style continued to achieve strong growth in the run-up to Christmas with its gross order value increasing by 41.4% year-on-year to £15.2 million.

On a two-year basis, growth came in at 178.4% as net sales climbed by 21.5% to £11.2 million year-on-year or by 225.9% compared to two years ago.

In The Style said the uplifts were driven by a very strong performance across its direct-to-consumer ecommerce channel, which comprises the In The Style website and proprietary app. Direct-to-consumer net sales, or sales post-customer returns, climbed by 34.5% year-on-year to £9.1 million or by 204.7% on a two-year basis. Meanwhile, sales through the In The Style App increased by 72.3% on the prior year and represented 67.1% of total sales for the period.

The company said the sales momentum was underpinned by the continued expansion of its influencer model and by strong consumer demand across its partywear and seasonal categories.

Looking ahead, In The Style is expecting its full year revenue to be in the range of £55 million to £57 million, which is in line with market expectations.

Sam Perkins, chief executive of In The Style, said: “The group has continued its excellent growth to achieve a strong sales performance during the important golden quarter. This outcome was achieved despite the well-documented uncertainties facing both consumers and retailers during the period and is testament to the appeal of the In The Style brand, continued positive momentum across several key customer metrics, and the success of our recent influencer collaborations.”
