Hunza G chooses Seven Dials for first physical store
Shaftesbury Capital has announced that swimwear brand Hunza G has chosen London’s Seven Dials for the opening of its first physical store.
Situated on Monmouth Street, the shop will sell collections that were previously only stocked in department stores such as Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols. The 1,583 square foot space will remain open until the end of the summer.
Established in 1984, Hunza G maintains a ‘One Size Fit’ mantra and uses a signature crinkle stretch fabric that has been designed to complement all body shapes. The label also has a focus on sustainable creation and waste reduction, with all fabrics made with no deadstock material or wastage.
Fitted out in Hunza G’s trademark pink, the store features custom artwork by London-based artist Alba Hodsoll, as well as diverse mannequins and bespoke curved rails.
Georgiana Huddart, co-founder and creative director at Hunza G, said: “Creating a space for our customers to come and experience, in-person, who we are as a brand has been a goal since we re-launched Hunza G in 2015. The location feels perfectly aligned with us and our customers, as it’s located in the Seven Dials Covent Garden area, which is in walking distance of Hunza G HQ in Soho.
“As a brand, we are committed to our values of community, inclusivity, and ethical consumption, all of which come together to form Hunza G’s highly unique brand experience – we are hugely excited to be able to introduce this to our customers in a physical retail format for the first time.”
Other socially conscious retailers in the shopping district include the likes of Finisterre, Ace & Tate and Aesop.
