Hotter trading in line with expectations as Unbound launches multi-brand platform

Unbound Group has announced that Hotter Shoes has traded in line with expectations since the group’s first quarter trading update issued on 22 May.

The group said Hotter has also opened new garden centre concessions at two of Notcutts’ sites in Cheshire and East Sussex due to the garden centre channel being ideal for its core 55+ customer demographic.

In addition, Unbound has announced the initial 14 partner brands for its new multi-brand platform which it will begin onboarding from 28 July. Focusing firstly on the apparel and footwear categories, the brands include:

  • Rohan
  • Asquith of London
  • Boody
  • Noa Noa
  • Part Two
  • Kaffe
  • Soaked in Luxury
  • Cream
  • Lakeland Leather
  • Birkenstock
  • Muck Boots
  • Geox
  • Skechers
  • Hush Puppies

Unbound said the brands were selected to meet the needs of  customers based on relevancy, desirability, specialism and sustainability criteria, with each being phased on the platform through to October. The first tranche will be followed by an expansion into other areas including wellness and Unbound Group’s own brands.

Ian Watson, chief executive of Unbound Group, said: “It’s great to see our team’s effort coming to fruition as we prepare for the launch of the Unbound platform. Over the past months we have carefully selected a number of brands that we are pleased to announce today, who we look to build a long-term partnership with and who will be part of our initial platform launch from 28th July. We look forward to developing more partnership opportunities over the coming months as we expand our curated offer.”
