Hotter expands design team

Footwear brand Hotter has expanded its design team as it approaches its 60th anniversary.

The appointments have been led by Hotter’s new chief product officer Claire Pearl who joined the business in September.

Helen Kundra has been hired as senior designer following stints at Timberland and Hush Puppies, while Dawn Linley-Hill has been appointed as senior freelance designer. The company has also taken on Camilla Andrews as a freelance designer to work on the company’s accessories range.

The trio will work alongside existing Hotter senior designer Andy Taylor who has worked with the business for ten years and is an expert in injection moulded footwear.

Pearl said: “I have brought together a design team with a spread of expertise across several key areas that are fundamental to our brand’s development. We are already working closely on defining our DNA and I am confident this team will deliver on the thoughtful design and  attention to detail demanded of this level of the market.”

Hotter chief executive Ian Watson said the appointments come at an exciting time for the business as it will be celebrating its 60th anniversary next year.

He added: “We have a raft of measures throughout the business to guarantee its future decelopment, but product is truly at the heart of everything we do. Claire’s team will build on iconic Hotter styling and elements whilst introducing a more stylish, modern and relevant emphasis to our offer.  I am confident the team will propel us forward as we continue to delight and surprise our customers and create more Hotter fans.”
