H&M’s social media to help circulate Covid-19 health and safety messages
Fashion retailer H&M is to allow global aid organisations such as the Red Cross to use its social media channels to spread messages on health and safety and tackling the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a statement, Sara Spännar, head of marketing and communications at H&M, said: “The current situation is affecting each and every one of us, and like many other organisations, we are doing our best to help. Opening up our social media channels and letting aid organisation utilise our reach is one way we can contribute. We are currently in discussions with other organisations and are also looking into the possibility of sharing other H&M channels.”
Earlier this month, the retailer announced that it was arranging for its supply chain to switch to producing personal protective equipment for hospitals and health care workers.
