H&M’s resale platform Sellpy launches app
Resale platform Sellpy has launched an app in both the Apple and Android stores to make sustainable shopping “easier than ever”.
The app enables customers to shop among Sellpy’s 1.6 million quality assured items in a seamless experience, making it easier than ever to buy second-hand.
H&M Group began investing in Sellpy in 2014 through its investment arm CO:LAB, and became a majority shareholder in the business in 2019.
In February 2021 H&M Group expanded Sellpy’s platform to the Netherlands and Austria, having originally launched in its home country of Sweden and later expanding to Germany.
Michael Arnör, Co-founder and CEO of Sellpy said: “In order to empower everyone to live circular, we want to be able to meet our customers wherever they are. In our strivings to provide a seamless and friction free shopping experience, we are happy to offer this new touchpoint, where customers in all of our 24 markets can update their wardrobes and homes in a more sustainable way.”
Max Frelén, Chief Product Officer of Sellpy added: “We are really proud to now launch our e-commerce on both iOS and Android. While it currently covers the most crucial aspects of second-hand shopping, we are going to iterate on it over the coming months. We are planning to add more features step by step to make the shopping experience even better.”
