H&M to re-open stores in Ukraine
H&M is planning to gradually reopen its stores in the war-torn country of Ukraine from November 2023.
The group temporarily closed its shops in the country in February 2022 following Russia’s invasion.
In a statement, H&M Group said it has been in close dialogue with local partners and authorities and is now planning to gradually reopen most of its stores where possible. The group is continuing to monitor developments in the country.
The group said: “H&M Group is in contact with local stakeholders in terms of how to best support the country and local communities as they look to rebuild. In addition to previous donations supporting the people in Ukraine, the group will partner with organisations on the ground and engage in relief and rebuilding programmes.”
In addition to H&M, the group also operates the Arket, Cos, Monki, Weekday, and & Other Stories brands.
