H&M launches online store in Australia

High street fashion retailer H&M has launched an online store in Australia.

The site went live at the same time as the launch of the retailer’s new loyalty programme H&M Member, which offers shoppers personalised discounts, free shipping with purchases over $60 and free returns for all online orders, as well as invitations to exclusive events.

Thomas Coellner, H&M Australia country manager, said: “We are very excited to finally launch H&M online in Australia and to be able to offer our fashion collections to customers nationwide anytime, anywhere. We now have 40 stores across the country and this significant milestone extends H&M’s omnichannel offering. We are also making history by being the first country to launch both online and our loyalty programme, H&M Member, on the same day.”

As part of plans to have all products  made from recycled or other sustainably sourced materials by 2030, H&M’s Australian site offers customers full transparency on each garment including the origin of a product, the countries it was produced in and the suppliers and factories where it was made.

H&M opened its first store in Australia in 2014.
