H&M Group to close Monki stores as part of Weekday integration

H&M Group is preparing to close its Monki stores as it looks ahead to integrating the brand into Weekday’s platform.

Cheap Monday joined Weekday in September 2024, online and in selected stores.

In a statement, the group said it is aiming is to create a “unique experience for the creative generation by offering a culturally relevant curation of brands through one evolving world”.

Monki will be integrated into the Weekday platform in 2025, both online and in stores. As part of this, a limited number of Monki stores will be transformed into multi-brand Weekday destinations, while the others will be closed.

The group said Monki will complement the Weekday offering, with a focus on creating the best value for customers.

According to the H&M Group website, Monki has 56 stores in 15 markets.
