H&M collaborates with Sabyasachi

H&M has embarked on a collaboration with the Sabyasachi Indian fashion labeI.

Known for combining traditional Indian style with contemporary design, Sabyasachi has worked with H&M to mix modern and traditional silhouettes with fresh colours and prints across womenswear and menswear.

Womenswear items in the Sabyasachi x H&M collection include long flowy dresses and kaftans while the menswear range offers items such as a Henley shirt, high waist wide chinos and a photographer jacket. The collection also includes accessories and shoes. A key highlight of the range will be Indian textile and print traditions brought to life by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation using vintage block prints and multicolour silhouettes.

Maria Gemzell, head of new development at H&M, said: “At H&M, we are thrilled about the launch of our collaboration with iconic Indian designer Sabyasachi. At a time like this, we believe people value the use of homegrown crafts and textiles more than ever and that’s something no-one can do better than Sabyasachi. We look forward to taking this stunning collection to as many people across the globe as we can.”

The collection will be available in selected H&M stores around the world and online on HM.com from 12 August.
