H&M collaborates with Magda Butrym
H&M has collaborated with ready-to-wear designer Magda Butrym on a new womenswear collection.
The move marks a milestone in the fashion retailer’s 20-year history of designer collaborations as it partners with a Polish designer for the first time. It also coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Magda Butrym brand.
Garments include diaphanous dresses, wide-shouldered tailoring, and structured, oversized coats. Key pieces include a red ruffled gown, a crochet lace gown, and a burgundy leather coat.
Also encompassing accessories and jewellery, the collection will be available at hm.com and in select stores from 24 April.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M, said: “We are thrilled to be inviting people into Magda’s powerful and poetic world. The collection is full of vitality and joy and speaks to Magda’s exceptional skill for interpreting contemporary femininity in rich and unique ways.”
