H&M celebrates re-opening of flagship store in New York’s Times Square
H&M has celebrated the reopening of its flagship store in New York’s Times Square with a special appearance and ribbon cutting ceremony with Christina Aguilera.
The redesigned space has a big focus on the customer experience and features immersive fitting rooms with interactive mirrors and a customisable, multi-sensory experience with LED screens in the floor and ceiling. While in the rooms, customers can select visual themes and music based on their style choices and moods to make the shopping experience more personalised and engaging.
Linda Li, head of customer activation and marketing for H&M Americas, said: “Our Times Square location is an amazing new space for customers to interact with our brand as well as each other. Features like our new immersive fitting rooms combine music, fashion and fun to let our customers become their own style star.”
The store also features a glass wall flanking each side of the main escalator which combines art and technology into a multi-story ambient light display.
Other interior upgrades include fluted concrete panels, seamless terrazzo flooring, custom built wood fitting rooms and two large LED screens on the ground and second floor.
