Gucci creative director exits the luxury brand
Gucci’s parent company Kering has announced the departure of the luxury brand’s creative director Sabato De Sarno.
The brand’s autumn/winter 2025 fashion show, which is being held in Milan on 25 February, will be presented by its in-house team
Stefano Cantino, chief executive of Gucci, said: “I would like to express my deep gratitude to Sabato for his passion and dedication to Gucci. I sincerely appreciate how he honoured Gucci’s craftsmanship and heritage with such commitment.”
De Sarno was appointed as creative director of Gucci in 2023. Having begun his career at Prada in 2005, he then moved to Dolce & Gabbana before joining Valentino in 2009.
Whilst at Valentino, he held positions of increasing responsibility, including fashion director for both the men’s and women’s collections.
