Gianfilippo Testa appointed as CEO of Alexander McQueen
Kering has appointed Gianfilippo Testa as the chief executive of luxury fashion brand Alexander McQueen.
Due to take up his role in May, Testa will succeed Emmanuel Gintzburger, who has decided to leave the group to pursue new opportunities outside of Kering.
An Italian national, Testa has longstanding experience in the luxury sector in Europe and Asia. He started his career at TAG Heuer in 2002 and went on to hold a range of roles across the LVMH group, including Fendi in Italy, Japan and Hong Kong. He joined Kering in 2016 as Gucci president of Greater China and has been president of EMEA and VP of global retail at the brand since 2019.
Testa will report to Kering chairman and chief executive François-Henri Pinault and will be responsible for accelerating the expansion of the luxury house to its full potential.
