Gery Weber officially appoints Angelika Schindler-Obenhaus as CEO
Gerry Weber has officially appointed Angelika Schindler-Obenhaus as its new chief executive.
The company’s supervisory board had already appointed the former chief operating officer as chairwoman of of its managing board back in March which they said would take effect from the company’s Annual General Meeting. As this has now taken place, she has also been officially named as chief executive.
In her new position, she has succeeded Alexander Gedat, who took over the chief executive role on an interim basis in February 2020. He has now been re-elected to the supervisory board and will aim to be elected as chairman at the company’s upcoming supervisory board meeting.
Schindler-Obenhaus has been a member of the managing board of Gerry Weber since August 2020 and will now form a dual leadership together with chief financial officer Florian Frank. As chief operating officer, she was already responsible for design, production, procurement and marketing and communications, and has now taken on additional responsibility for sales from Gedat.
Meanwhile, Frank will oversee finance, HR, IT, corporate sourcing, distribution, outbound logistics, capital markets and investor relations.
