George at Asda goes Gaga for Gucci
Ahead of the release of Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci this Friday, George at Asda has announced that it will be hiding a range of preloved Gucci fashion items across its stores for customers to buy.
In a playful move, the retailer is challenging customers to seek out the items in their local store as part of its ongoing work with its sustainability partner and vintage wholesaler PreLoved.
On 26 November, 30 exclusive Gucci pieces will be hidden on 50 George at Asda shopfloors including London, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Brighton. Teasers on social media will encourage customers to hunt through their local Asda for the chance to purchase the items for as little as £12.
Steve Lynam, managing director of Preloved Wholesaler said: “Our partnership with George at Asda is one that we are extremely proud of, so we’re delighted to be able to offer their customers the chance to pick up something they have always dreamed of owning in their local supermarket.”
Lauren Mallins from George at Asda, added: “Whether you are a lover of vintage or just want to make more sustainable choices, our hand-picked PreLoved pieces are always a treasure trove of gems and now Gucci is adding to our customers’ reasons to shop with us.”
