Gap launches new collaboration with GQ

Gap has launched a new limited-edition collection with GQ in which brands such as Balmain, Dsquared2, MSGM, No Vacancy Inn, Officine Générale, Opening Ceremony, Stampd and Surf is Dead give their take on the classic Gap sweatshirt.

The designs form part of GQ’s ongoing ‘Coolest Designers on the Planet’ programme which this year has been expanded to feature international brands from around the world.

John Caruso, Gap vice president of men’s design, said: “This year, we took a fresh approach to our GQ for Gap collaboration. Our Gap hoodie and crewneck sweatshirts are iconic American staples that have appeared in countless ad campaigns and editorials. We are so excited to show our customers how each designer re-invents this classic.”

The GQ for Gap collection consists of eight sweatshirts, one crewneck and seven hoodies where each brand has incorporated their own logo alongside the Gap logo and used a customised colour palette, graphics and silhouette.
