French Connection opens flagship West End store
French Connection has launched a new experience led store in London’s Mayfair shopping district.
Situated in a period property on Duke Street, the shop is very close to Bond Street station and minutes away from the brand’s former Oxford Street store that had reached the end of its lease.
Spanning 4,000 square feet across two floors, the store stocks a mix of clothing and accessories for women and men, including exclusive items designed especially for the store. It also sells a range of homewares and fragrance.
The homewares offering sits in a dedicated area at the front of the store. There is also a ‘market place’ area where shoppers can choose from a selection books, magazines and cards.
In addition, the shop houses a photography studio where an in-house team will shoot digital and influencer content. This will give customers the chance to get a glimpse behind the scenes of a fashion brand and to see the latest collections before they launch in-store.
There is also a Fernandez and Wells coffee shop where customers can purchase coffee, wine or food to have inside the space or on outdoor seating overlooking Duke Street.
Stephen Marks, founder, chief executive and chairman of French Connection, said: “We are extremely pleased to be opening a new store in a retail location better suited to French Connection’s premium high street aesthetic. French Connection Studios Duke Street is a great space, perfect for creating a fresh look and brand experience for our consumers.”
Keith Bailey, Mayfair director at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, added: “We are excited to welcome French Connection’s new concept to our estate in Mayfair. The store will provide an immersive brand journey that will improve the retail environment for those visiting and working in this part of the West End.”
