French Connection appoints new non-exec directors
Fashion retailer French Connection has appointed Sarah Curran and Robin Piggott as non-executive directors with immediate effect.
gCurran has a wealth of experience in the fashion industry having previously co-founded and headed up My-Wardrobe.com. More recently she has been managing director of Very Exclusive, the luxury division of Shop Direct Group. At French Connection, she will be chairman of the remuneration committee and a member of the audit committee.
Meanwhile, Piggott’s previous roles include six years as chief financial officer at Moss Bros. Prior to that he was group finance director of Alexon. He will chair French Connection’s audit committee and will be a member of the remuneration committee.
French connection has also announced that Claire Kent and Dean Murray have stepped down as non-executive directors.
Stephen Marks, chairman and chief executive of French Connection, said: “I am delighted that Sarah and Robin are joining the Board. They both have extensive and relevant experience that will be very useful to us in the future as the Group returns to profitability. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Claire and Dean for their contribution to the group over the past nine years and wish them well in the future.”
