Frasers Group takes former John Lewis space at Queensgate
Frasers Group is to open Sports Direct and Frasers stores in a former John Lewis unit at Peterborough’s Queensgate shopping centre.
Together, the two shops will span a space totalling 92,500 square feet.
The Frasers concept store will house an array of brands across men’s, women’s and kidswear, as well as a homewares and beauty. Meanwhile, the 30,000 square foot Sports Direct will showcase some of the world’s biggest sports and leisure brands, as well as offerings from USC, Jack Wills and Game.
A spokesperson for Frasers Group said: “We are pleased to confirm that we will be opening a new concept Frasers store in Peterborough’s Queensgate Shopping Centre, offering customers the world’s most aspirational brands, as well as a dynamic beauty hall. We are big believers in physical retail and these openings mark an exciting time for the group as we continue to expand our store portfolio across the UK and Europe.”
Following the completion of landlord Invesco’s works, Frasers Group is due to take access to the space in 2025. The centre spans 835,000 square feet and is situated in the heart of the city.
