Footpatrol chooses Paris for second store
Footpatrol, the JD Sports owned sneaker retailer, has chosen Paris for the opening of its second store.
Situated at 45 Rue du Temple in the city’s historic Le Marais district, the 470 square foot shop has been designed by London based architectural practice, Counterfeit Studio.
Speaking on behalf of Footpatrol, Jimmy Horrocks said: “Paris has always stood out to us as a key city, it’s the capital of some of the world’s biggest fashion houses and a number of amazing streetwear boutiques. In a way, it has many resemblances to London yet it remains unique and true to its roots. We are really excited to join the amazing Parisian retail landscape and look forward to welcoming all through our small, but inviting store.”
Footpatrol Paris will stock brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Converse, Vault by Vans, retaW, BE@RBRICK and Jason Markk. It will also showcase Footpatrol’s own in-house designed apparel, as well as a range of special projects and collaborations.
The original Footpatrol store opened in St Anne’s Court in London’s Soho in 2002 then relocated to its current location on Berwick Street in 2010.
John Brotherhood of Footpatrol added: “Soho has always been our home, and with the opening of our new Parisian store, we wanted to find a location that carried similar characteristics and charisma of Soho, and for our new customers, to offer the same environment as London, a destination for like-minded enthusiasts to meet, experience and discuss what we all love most – sneakers.”
