Foot Locker debuts at Liverpool ONE
Sports shoe retailer Foot Locker has opened a new store at the Liverpool ONE shopping complex.
Spanning two floors, the space aims to deliver an immersive retail experience with in-store presentations and events. In addition, Foot Locker has commissioned Liverpool artist Stephen Chan to create a bespoke piece of artwork, which takes pride of place at the front of the store.
To celebrate the launch, Foot Locker partnered with MC and MiC LOWRY band member Kaine Ofoeme to host an evening of live performances by him and his band, and a range of other Liverpool acts.
The launch event also featured trims by Luke’s Barbers who will be running an in-store pop-up salon at Foot Locker until 15 June.
Nick Jones, vice president and general manager at Foot Locker Europe, said: “The new store is the ultimate destination for sneaker fans in Liverpool and a great platform for the city’s many creative talents. Liverpool has such an incredible cultural history and scene that it’s the perfect destination to lead the way for the future of Foot Locker stores. We look forward to continuing to collaborate locally and support the local scene and community.”
The Footlocker opening follows the launch of COS’s regional flagship on Liverpool ONE’s Manesty’s Lane last month, whilst ARKET is due to open on Paradise Street later this year.
Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Grosvenor Europe, said: “The experience-led focus of the store is another great example of how Liverpool ONE is enriching the experience for visitors, providing them with an offer unavailable anywhere else. The flagship opening strengthens our diverse mix of international brands and cements our position as the strongest performing destinations in the UK.”
