Fitflop appoints chief commercial officer
Wellness footwear brand FitFlop has appointed David Schuttenkopf as chief commercial officer.
The move marks the third senior hire under chief executive Gianni Georgiades’ leadership.
Schuttenkopf has over 20 years’ experience of managing and leading sales in European and American markets and has particularly focused on online and omnichannel trading. In his most recent role as senior director of sales at Deckers Brands, he was responsible for the commercial activities of the UGG brand across 49 countries.
In his new position, he will drive FitFlop’s omnichannel strategy and lead all consumer touch points across the digital, wholesale and distribution channels. He will also roll out new retail stores across the world.
Georgiades said: “As we continue this new era for FitFlop and are now set on a firm path to strong growth, we needed a world-class commercial leader to unleash the full potential of our brand. I am thrilled to welcome David to the team, and I look forward to working closely with him as we enter this transformative chapter in our brand history.”
Schuttenkopf added: “FitFlop the brand itself and the unique technologies used, alongside the strategic proposition, a tremendous global omnichannel opportunity and uncaptured white space are exciting. This combined with an incredible set of highly talented people forming an explosive composition – I am eager to start my new role.”
Other senior hires under Georgiades’ leadership have included chief operating officer Gordon Knox and chief technology officer Sal Usmani.
Schuttenkopf will join the FitFlop team in May 2022.
