FatFace chief executive to step down
FatFace chief executive Anthony Thompson has decided to step down from his role and leave the business in January 2019.
In a statement, Thompson said he felt it was the right time to move on as FatFace was “in good shape” in what is its 30th anniversary year.
FatFace chairman Lord Rose said: “I would like to thank Anthony of behalf of the board for his significant contribution to the company over the past nine years and wish him every success with his future plans. We expect to announce his successor shortly to enable a smooth transition to allow us to build on progress of the last few years as we enter a new period of growth and investment.”
In August FatFace announced that its sales in the year to 2 June had increased by 7.4% to £238.4 million. Meanwhile, EBITDA rose by 5.6% to £30.2 million. During the period the retailer opened five new stores in the US.
