Farm Rio opens pop-up at Liberty department store
Brazilian fashion brand Farm Rio has launched a pop-up space in London’s Liberty department store.
Due to remain open until 8 August, the pop-up forms part of the brand’s global expansion strategy following a similar initiative at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche in Paris.
The space has been designed in collaboration with Brazilian artist Lulu Novis and aims to showcase Farm Rio’s colourful signature prints in a sensory and tropical nature driven concept.
Founded in 1997 by Katia Barros and Marcello Bastos at a marketplace in Rio de Janeiro, Farm Rio is known for its free spirited designs.
Barros said in a statement: “We wanted to showcase more of Brazil’s captivating spirit to the world, therefore the next logical step was to expand our business into the UK by collaborating with a cultural institution with a worldwide fashion presence, and Liberty London was the perfect partner for that.”
