Digital fashion start-up launches virtual styling app
A new styling and personal shopper app has been launched that matches users with a stylist who offers free advice on wardrobe choices.
Named DV Closet, the app enables users to take pictures of themselves to share with friends who can rate their look, or the pictures can be sent to a stylist for advice.
DV Closet’s chief operating officer Danae Varangis, who founded the business in 2015, said: “The point of fashion is to make you feel good, but not everyone has the budget to employ a stylist to give them advice on what works for them and what doesn’t.
“What we’re doing with DV Closet is bringing styling into the digital world and making it accessible to smartphone users.”
Users can also book a personal shopping session with their favourite stylist who will accompany them to stores of their choice.
The app also features blogs and news allowing users to keep up-to-date with the latest trends.
“Ultimately what we’re doing is building a fashion community, based on trust, honesty and complementary styles for stylists and users. And this is only the start. With such a strong technology platform and fashion experience, we’re aiming high and will be adding to our services, evolving our offering in line with the demands of the industry and our users,” added Varangis.
The app is available on the App Store in 24 countries and is free to download.
