Crew Clothing signs Jodie Burrage as brand ambassador
Crew Clothing Company has announced the appointment of British tennis player Jodie Burrage as an ambassador.
A five times ITF Singles Title Holder, Burrage achieved a career-high WTA singles ranking of 84 in March.
Currently recovering from wrist and ankle injuries, she has been making commercial and media appearances around this year’s Wimbledon tournament, but is aiming to get back to playing tennis within four to six weeks.
Following the announcement, Burrage will be wearing Crew items off the court as she travels the world and relaxes between tournaments.
Naomi Parry, head of marketing for Crew Clothing, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jodie on board as a brand ambassador. She’s a fantastic athlete, and we can’t wait to see her back on the court and making her comeback. She’s one to watch, but not only that – she’s an all-round lovely person and very much aligned with our values.”
Burrage added: “I’m really excited to be representing Crew Clothing as a brand ambassador. I’m a believer in championing British sport, and it’s wonderful to partner with a brand that shares a love of British tennis.”
Sponsorships as driver for growth
Crew regards its sports sponsorships as a crucial driver for future growth. Last year, it signed three-times Wimbledon Doubles Champion Neal Skupski as a brand ambassador. It is also currently a sponsor of LTA Summer Grass Court tournaments (Queen’s, Eastbourne, Birmingham, and Nottingham).
