Cotton On launches in the UK

Australian retailer Cotton On has launched an online shop in the UK as it looks to take advantage of ecommerce-led opportunities for fashion retail.

Known for its on-trend everyday essentials, the retailer will sell its latest collections for men and women including denim and eco-friendly recycled swimwear. Sizes will range from 6 to 24 for women and 2XS to 2XL for menswear.

Peter Johnson, chief executive of the Cotton On Group, said: “We’ve exported our unique Aussie style and optimism to over five continents and 20 countries across the globe and have loved seeing how our customers respond to and embrace our brands.

“The feedback we’ve received from our UK customers through our online marketplace partners in recent years, gives us confidence that now is the right time to bring the full Cotton On brand offering to the UK. We couldn’t be more excited about the launch, which marks a significant milestone for our brand and our business.”

Typo, Cotton On’s sister brand, launched in the UK in 2016. Other brands within the Cotton On Group include Cotton On Kids, Cotton On Body, Factorie, Supre, Rubi and Ceres Life.

The UK launch will be supported by an integrated marketing campaign across PR, social media, digital marketing and influencer engagement.

Founded in  Geelong in Victoria in 1991, Cotton On Group now has over 1,400 stores in 20 countries.
