Clarks collborates with Jorja Smith
Clarks Originals has collaborated with British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith on the release of its Desert Nomad shoe as a mule.
The new style features an upper made from Sciarada Evolo suede, which is more sustainable than traditional suede, and also has recycled laces. Signature Clarks features include topstitching and crepe soles, as well as dual-branded fobs in a silver tone. The shoe will be available in all-black, with a white colourway
Smith first rose into the limelight with her debut studio album Lost and Found in 2018. She has since won a row of accolades, including the BRITs Critics Choice Award, the BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
Commenting on the collaboration, she said: “Clarks means so much to so many different groups of people – I’m excited to have the opportunity to add to that legacy. I wanted to work on a profile that’s different but, most importantly, wearable. Overall my style is simple and laid-back, and the shoes reflect that. They’re comfortable and casual but with a lot of individuality.”
The shoe will be released on 21 October and will be available to buy online in the UK, EU, US, Japan, and China on www.clarks.com and www.clarks.eu as well as in store in London, Manchester, Osaka, Tokyo, and Beijing.
