Claire’s names new chair of board of managers
Claire’s has named Laurie Ann Goldman as chair of the company’s board of managers.
Her election means the retailer’s board has been expanded to ten and has expertise across the disciplines of brand marketing, retail operations, merchandising, finance, accounting, investment and strategic planning.
Goldman has more than 30 years of management and operating experience after previously serving as the chief executive of Avon North America and holding the same position at Spanx. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at The Coca-Cola Company and Macy’s.
With female leaders accounting for 50% of the Claire’s board. she has succeeded Samantha Algaze, who has served as board chair since 2018. Algaze will continue to sit on the board alongside Claire’s chief executive Ryan Vero and non-executive directors Carmen Bauza, DeAnn Brunts, Samantha Lomow, Arthur Rubinfeld, Paul Best, Patrick Fallon, and Theophlius Killion.
