Chelsea Peers boosted by demand for quality loungewear
Loungewear brand Chelsea Peers has posted a 236% year-on-year uplift in online sales after it benefited from more people working from home during Covid-19 lockdowns.
In a statement, the company said 2021 sales have tracked consistently ahead of the previous year across all ranges, including the Mystic Opulence Autumn collection which has seen an uplift of 360% from 2020.
Chelsea Peers has also grown its staff numbers by 100% in the period with key hires in both its customer service and digital teams. Looking ahead, the company is planning to expand further including internationally.
Tom Pyne, director of Chelsea Peers, said: “Loungewear is no longer reserved for sleeping, but is worn for many occasions, from work to evenings out. This trend has had a huge impact on our sales, and we expect it to continue into next year. Our new collections have been designed with this consumer demand in mind, to provide modern loungewear for all occasions.”
