Centre:mk holds AW17 LIVE fashion and beauty event

The Centre:mk shopping centre in Milton Keynes has held AW17 LIVE, an event featuring two days of catwalk shows, beauty demonstrations, style advice and delicious food.

Held in the centre’s iconic Middleton Hal event space, the event began on Saturday 30 September at 11am with 12 exclusive catwalk shows happening on the hour, all weekend until 4pm on Sunday 1 October.

Now in its fifth year, the free two-day fashion and beauty themed event celebrated the new season collections and key looks for both womenswear and menswear. Brands taking part included the likes of John Lewis, House of Fraser, River Island, Warehouse, Monsoon and Kurt Geiger.

This year’s event also featured two hair, make-up and beauty pods offering a Dyson blow dry bar, make-up and a range of skin and beauty products fpr shoppers to try.

The event followed the recent announcement that Centre:mk has become the latest patron of the British Fashion Council. The patronage, which has been set up in recognition of the centre’s mix of fashion and beauty retail, is a key moment for Milton Keynes and is aimed at putting the town on the fashion map.

Other BFC patrons include Harrods, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and Net-A-Porter.
