Carnaby to welcome first permanent charity shop

The Carnaby Street shopping district is to see the opening of its first permanent charity shop.

Shaftesbury has announced that mental health charity Mind will launch a shop on 12 October at 8 Ganton Street, Carnaby.

Spanning 563 square feet over two floors, the shop will stock a collection of preloved vintage and designer clothing for the stylish W1 shopper. Items in store currently include fashion from Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Coach and Louis Vuitton, although new stock will be added each day.

Samantha Bain-Mollison, retail director at Shaftesbury, said: “We are so excited to welcome Mind to Carnaby. This will be the first permanent Mental Health charity shop in the destination, and we are happy to be supporting such a worthy cause. We are confident the concept will help raise awareness for mental health alongside generating funding for their life saving services.”
