Burberry US marketing head to leave business

Burberry’s senior vice president for marketing and communications in the US is leave the business after nearly ten years.
According to reports, George Kolasa will step down from his role in September although there has been no announcement as to what he plans to do next.
Kolasa previously held senior marketing and PR roles at Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Tommy Hilfiger and Polo Ralph Lauren.
Burberry is understood to be restructuring Kolasa’s department due to his departure and has also appointed Emily Pero to succeed him.
Pero was most recently senior vice president for global communications and special events at Calvin Klein. Previous positions also include PR roles at Katla Otto and Hermes.
