Burberry to open new flagship store in Knightsbridge
The first of seven new flagship retail units will be let to Burberry at No 1 Sloane Street as part of the first phase of Chelsfield’s The Knightsbridge Estate K1 development.
The luxury brand will relocate its Knightsbridge store to the unit from nearby Brompton Road where it currently trades from twin shops for men and women. The stores will be consolidated as one flagship location spanning four floors with an area of over 15,000 square feet.
The K1 development will comprise a mix of retail, Grade A office accommodation, 35 residential rental apartments and new garden space.
The let to Burberry at No.1 Sloane Street builds on the prior relationship between the brand and Chelsfield following the establishment of Burberry’s flagship Bond Street store in 2005.
Elliott Bernerd, Chelsfield chairman, said: “We are delighted to once again be working with Burberry, one of the UK’s leading brands, in a partnership that will see the creation of an outstanding new store within The Knightsbridge Estate’s development on the corner of Sloane Street and Brompton Road. This builds on a long-standing association between the two companies.”
Burberry will begin trading at No 1 Sloane Street once the development is completed.
