Burberry appoints chief marketing officer and president, Americas
Burberry has appointed former Gucci senior executive Jonathan Kiman as chief marketing officer.
Due to take up his role on 9 September, Kiman (pictured) will lead the luxury brand’s global marketing team while reporting to Burberry chief executive Joshua Schulman.
Kiman was previously chief marketing officer at Gucci where he also held a range of other senior roles in the 12 years he was with the business. Earlier in his career, he worked as chief brand officer of Versace.
In a further move, Burberry has appointed Laura Dubin-Wander as president, Americas with responsibility for leading all operations in the region.
She has joined the business from OTB North America where she was chief executive. Prior to that, she was president of Coach North America, vice president of Christian Dior Couture, and president of Givenchy.
Schulman said: “Jonathan has a wealth of experience in rejuvenating brands and building digital-savvy marketing organisations. I look forward to working closely with him to enhance our marketing capabilities and strengthen the Burberry brand.
“Laura is a results-driven and dynamic leader with demonstrated success in building and developing winning teams. I am delighted to be working with her to grow our business in the Americas.”
