Boohoo preparing to cut jobs at London office

Online fashion retailer Boohoo is preparing to cut jobs at its London office in Soho.

According to The Times, the Manchester based retailer is consulting on more than 100 redundancies. Jobs most at risk span the ecommerce, design and busying departments.

The publication said the consultation started last week, although no decisions have been made on how many roles are affected.

From 20 February, teams working at Boohoo brands Burton, Karen Millen, Coast, Dorothy Perkins, Oasis and Wallis will move under the debenhams.com umbrella.

The retailer told The Times that the plans were in line with its strategy to improve operational performance.

In September, Boohoo announced a drop  in half year sales and profit after trading was impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.
