Boodles to join the line-up at Victoria Leeds
Luxury jeweller Boodles is to open a new store at Victoria Leeds later this year.
Designed by GP Studio, the 4,500 square foot space in Victoria Quarter has been created in the style of a townhouse and will aim to offer customers a personal experience as if they are guests in the Boodles’ family home. In addition to a sales area, the store includes space for private dinners, special events and relaxation.
Jody Wainwright, director at Boodles, said: “This is a family business which started two centuries ago in the north of England so we are excited to build on this heritage, bringing the Boodles experience to Leeds. One of our hallmarks is providing exceptional service and the private spaces on the second floor will bring this to life.”
The signing follows the recent arrivals of fashion and accessories brand Kate Spade and footwear retailer Carvela at Victoria Leeds. Kate Spade has taken a 1,190 square foot unit at County Arcade whilst Carvela has opened in a 1,640 square foot unit on Queen Victoria Street.
Iain Mitchell, UK commercial director at Hammerson, said: “Luxury brands have shown real resilience over the last year underpinned by consumer appetite for premium goods. Boodles is an iconic British fine jewellery brand and we are delighted to have secured them for Victoria Leeds. They will join recent lettings to Kate Spade and Carvela which demonstrates how Victoria Leeds continues to be the premier regional destination.”
