Ben Sherman owner signs new licensing agreement for the brand
The owner of Ben Sherman has signed a new licensing agreement for the menswear brand.
BSI Apparel, a subsidiary of Broadgate 1960, the parent company of Crew Clothing, Saltrock Surfwear, and Pringle of Scotland, has been granted a core license and operating partnership by Marquee Brands to produce and distribute men’s apparel and tailored clothing to Ben Sherman’s numerous global distributors.
BSI’s work will include increasing investment in the Ben Sherman business, fostering brand acceleration, creating advantageous business opportunities, and prioritising full-price retail expansion in bricks-and-mortar Ben Sherman stores across the UK.
The announcement comes as Ben Sherman celebrates its milestone 60th anniversary and prepares to kick off the upcoming season with two limited-edition collaborations.
Tim Reid, executive vice president of fashion and lifestyle at Marquee Brands, said: “We are thrilled to announce the agreement with BSI Apparel. As a top-tier partner, they will continue to uphold the brand vision and high standards while investing in strengthening our UK retail footprint and operations, maximising our ecommerce channel, and and building on key wholesale business opportunities.”
