Barbour launches collection with House of Hackney

North East clothing firm Barbour has teamed up with a luxury British interiors company to launch a new fashion collection.

The heritage and lifestyle brand has collaborated with House of Hackney for the Autumn Winter 2021 season.

The collection features three items of clothing, including a dress and two blouses, and seven jackets and coats, designed to fuse Barbour’s heritage with three House of Hackney distinctive prints, called Trematonia, Saturnalia and Artemis.

Founded in 2011, House of Hackney’s designs are inspired by the natural world and feature bold colours and floral motifs, some of which are inspired by the gardens and woods that surround the Castle of Trematon in Cornwall, which is home to the founders Frieda Gormley and Javvy M Royle.

Paul Wilkinson, global marketing and commercial director at Barbour, said: “We are delighted to be working with House of Hackney on this outstanding womenswear collaboration for Autumn Winter 21. The collection combines heritage with modernity and the prints we have chosen together create a contemporary lifestyle collection that is distinctive and very covetable.”

Ms Gormley, co-founder of House of Hackney, said: “There is a great synergy between our two brands, which has made this collaboration with Barbour such a joy to work on: we’re both proudly British, family-owned and intrinsically linked with the English countryside.

“We’re thrilled to see three of our most-loved prints translated into clothing and outerwear, designed to be worn out in nature – the very inspiration behind the motifs.”
