Authentic Brands Group acquires Sperry
Ted Baker owner Authentic Brands Group has acquired the Sperry US footwear brand.
Following the purchase, the company will convert the Sperry business into a licensed model as it looks to grow the brand’s lifestyle offerings, including rainwear, sportswear, bags and accessories, and expand its presence across the APAC region.
In addition, Aldo Group will become Sperry’s North American operating partner for wholesale, ecommerce and store operations, as well as the brand’s partner for footwear design, production and distribution globally.

Authentic owns a portfolio of more than 50 brands including Hunter, Nautica, Juicy Couture, Forever 21 and Quiksilver.
