Asos head of commercial change and operations steps down
The Asos fashion retailer’s head of commercial change and operations has left the business.
Anthony Benham joined the company over 16 years ago and prior to that worked with John Lewis, Arcadia Group and Debenhams.
In a recent post on LinkedIn, Benham said: “The word journey is often used but for me, it definitely applies to my time at Asos. Both professionally and personally, I have dealt with an enormous amount of change.
Asos grew from a £50 million business to the multi-billion pound company it is today and I loved every minute of it. It was extremely challenging at times but unbelievably rewarding.”
News emerged earlier this week that Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group had upped its stake in Asos to almost 9%. According to This is Money, Asos received a £1 billion takeover bid from Turkish online retailer Trendyol last December.
