Asda appoints managing director of George
Asda has appointed Liz Evans as managing director of its George fashion business.
Due to take up her role in January 2022, she will join the Asda leadership team alongside chief financial officer John Fallon, chief merchandising officer Derek Lawlor, general counsel Helen Selby, chief supply officer Mark Simpson and chief people officer Hayley Tatum. In addition, Meg Farren will become part of the team in October as chief customer officer.
Evans will join Asda from lifestyle brand Fat Face, where she has led the business as chief executive since 2019. Prior to that, she was the chief executive of fashion brands Oasis, Warehouse and Coast and also worked with Marks & Spencer in retail, womenswear and international roles.
