4 September, 2019 | by Angela Beevers
Arcadia’s chief operating officer David Shepherd has retired after working for 25 years with the group.
Shepherd was appointed to his last position in 2012 and as an Arcadia board member was responsible for the supply chain, sourcing and international operations.
Previous roles at Arcadia included brand director for Topman where he helped the business to expand across the world.
According to Drapers, it is understood that Arcadia will not seek a replacement for his role.
This week, Arcadia has denied reports that it is planning to separate its brands with a view to selling them over time. In addition to Topman, the company’s brands include Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge, Wallis, Evans and Burton.
