Anthropologie announces new leadership appointments

Anthropologie Group has made three new senior appointments as it positions itself for continued growth.

The first has seen Anu Narayanan being promoted to the role of president of women’s apparel, accessories, weddings and beauty. Since joining Anthropologie in 2018, she has led the women’s apparel and accessory business and has now expanded her role to include the beauty and weddings categories.  Earlier in her career, she worked with La Senza, Gap, Avenue Stores and Ann Taylor.

Meanwhile Holly Thrasher has been named as chief merchandising officer of apparel and weddings after working for nearly two years as the brand’s general merchandising manager. Prior to that, she served for 18 years at Nordstrom and also worked in merchandising roles at Eddie Bauer and JC Penney.

In a third appointment, Aaron Mutscheller has joined Anthropologie Group as president of Anthropologie home and terrain with responsibility for the brand’s home and garden business all channels of distribution. This will include leading the design, buying,  production and global sourcing functions. With over two decades of  experience in in the home retail and interiors space, Mutscheller previously worked as chief executive of Nickey Kehoe and also held leadership positions at Williams Sonoma and Serena & Lily.

Tricia Smith, global chief executive of Anthropologie Group, said: “I am thrilled to announce the appointments of our new leadership as we look to our next chapter of growth across our organisation. These leaders have extensive retail, merchandising, and business transformation experience and a deep understanding of the Anthropologie customer and brand. With our loyal community at the heart of every decision we make, I know that Anu, Holly, and Aaron will lead the teams to elevate, advance, and enhance our ever-evolving merchandising strategies.”
